We will be happy to answer all your questions.
General Questions:
1.Q: What do I do when I receive my oil candle?
A: When you receive your oil candle, carefully unpack it making sure you have the wick and lid. You will then have to fill your oil candle with Ultra-Pure smokeless odorless oil. This oil cannot be shipped and is not included with your candle. However it is easily found at craft stores, Walmart, or Meijer. Next put the lid on the candle and drop the wicks down through the holes so the little brass cup sits on top (the wick is usually already in the lid). Let the wick soak for at least 15-20 minutes in the oil and light.
2.Q: Where can I get a replacement lid? A: You can get a replacement lid or an extra lid from our website under "candle supplies".
3.Q: When will you be at a show in my area? A: You can check out our "2007 retail shows" on our website.
Wicks and Scent Questions:
1.Q: How does the wick go in the oil candle and where does it go? A: Your wick is probably already set in your lid. If it is not then simply drop the wick down through the hole(s) of your lid so that the little brass cup sits on top of the lid.
2.Q: Where do I put the scent? How much scent do I use? A: You can put a few drops of scent into the little brass cup(s) that sit on top of your lid. Be careful not to put to much scent or it will run out. Make sure to only put a few drops of scent in the bottom of the cup, if you put to much it can catch fire and will burn a nasty black smoke.
3.Q: Where can I get a replacement wick? How long will it last?
A: Your scent wick is a fiberglass wick and will last for a very long time. If you need a replacement wick, you can get it from our website under "candle supplies"
4.Q: What do I do if my flame isn't burning properly anymore?
A: If your flame isn't burning right anymore it is because the top of the wick is frayed. Simply take a needle nose pliers and pull the top of the wick out a little bit and cut it off. Make sure you do not leave the wick too tall or you will have a large flame. If this happens blow it out and cut some more off. The wick should be aprox. 1/8"
Oil Questions:
1.Q: What kind of oil do I use?
A: You must use only smokeless, odorless pure pariffin oil in all our oil candles. If you use this oil it will help to preserve the items in the jar.
It will not smoke and it will not have an odor. This way you will be able to smell the wonderful scent you put in your scent wick!
2.Q: Where can I buy this oil?
A: This oil is not hard to find a lot of people tell us they already have it in their home. The best place to buy it would be at Walmart, Meijer, Craft Stores, Lowes, or Menards.
3.Q: How much oil do I put in the Oil Candle Jar?
A: You need to fill up the jar. Not to the rim but enough so that the end of the wick is completly in the oil. You can refer to the specific page on our website for your oil candle for the approx. amounts of oil it should take.
Potpourri Questions:
1.Q: My potpourri doesn't smell anymore...How do I refresh it?
A: You should never have to throw potpourri away because it doesn't smell anymore. You canrefresh it! Simply put it in a zip lock bag and spray it with the scent you desire (spray more for a strong scent and less for a mild scent). Let it set for about a week in the bag and it should smell good as new!!
